Robert Pattinson Has Italian 'Style'

Robert Pattinson takes the cover of Italy’s Style and chats about his acting idol, his dream role, and girlfriend Kristen Stewart.
Here’s what the 24-year-old British actor had to share with the mag:
On what he admires in Kristen: “She’s a real person and a real actress. It was the chemistry I had with her [that] helped me to get my role in Twilight.”
On his idol Jack Nicholson: “He had a huge career and he always owned his characters.”
On his career path: “I wasn’t even sure if I wanted to be an actor. I had always thought I was going to be a writer or a musician. But then I fell in love with the adventurous aspect of cinema. And I found the discipline, the ethic, and let me tell you, the inner call, which helped me to give a proper structure to my life.”
On his love for music: “[It's] a key aspect of my life. I wish I could play a movie about Jeff Buckley. His voice, his songwriting gave me a lot.”

Robert Pattinson & Reese Witherspoon Cover EW

Reese Witherspoon dreamingly looks up at Robert Pattinson on the cover of Entertainment Weekly.
Their new film, Water For Elephants, hits theaters on April 22nd. Check out a snippet of their interview below:
Robert the first appeal of Water For Elephants: “I liked the aspect of living on a train. Just that whole frontier thing. It seems to me the definition of America.”
Reese on working with Robert: “He’s an incredibly hardworking person with an incredible work ethic. He doesn’t ever complain. Not once. Which is sort of lower than the national average for actors. They’re always complaining. Especially the men!”
Robert on working with Reese: “There’s something about her. She’s just this genuinely nice person. I don’t know if she puts an effort into creating a nice aura, but her mood dissipates over the whole set. It was a completely different environment from when she wasn’t there. All the kids and the animals were just drawn to her. It made it incredibly easy to do my part—all my reaction shots are just watching her work brilliantly. She’s really cool and she’s just…never, ever annoying. God, that’s the worst description, isn’t it?
Robert on his post Twilight life: I mean, I can [do whatever I want]. But at the same time, I think people have an incredibly short shelf life, and you can never really predict what an audience wants or how to maintain a career, other than doing what you think is cool. Generally, what I think is cool is whatever everybody else hates.

Robert Pattinson: Mackenzie Foy is a Great Actress

Did you chat MTV’s live chat with Robert Pattinson on Friday (March 18)? If you didn’t, no worries. We’ve got a short recap for you below.
The 24-year-old actor sat down with the media outlet to chat about Breaking Dawn, his “daughter” Mackenzie Foy and working with passionate leading ladies. Check it:
On working with phenomenal leading ladies: “I like them. I like being in movies with lots of hot girls (laughs). [But] They’re all pretty different. They’re all very strong, actually. I always end up being in movies with very experienced and passionate people. They’re never just flimsy floozies.”
On his experience working on ‘Water For Elephants’: “It felt like it was kind of magical in many ways, because we were out in the desert shooting. There was nothing from the modern world around. It was a different experience for me. It wasn’t in a studio or anything. I just wanted to show I can be Jacob too. That’s the only reason I did the movie. I just looked at the name. There was an elephant, my name is Jacob — done.”
On Mackenzie Foy making money off of him: “She’s a great actress. She’s really sweet. She has to do a hard part as well, because she’s doing — I don’t want to get into special-effects stuff — but she’s playing a baby in some scenes. She’s got a lot of money out of us swearing around her. I do it by accident, and especially Kristen [Stewart] does it by accident, because she’ll apologize with a swear [word]. She’s like, ‘Oh sh–! Ugh!’ She can’t stop doing it for about 15 minutes, and [Mackenzie] just waits there [with her hand out].”

‘Twilight’ Director: “Love At First Sight” for Kristen Stewart with Rob Pattinson

(GettyImages.com)

It was “love at first sight” for Kristen Stewart when she met Robert Pattinson, says Twilight director Catherine Hardwicke.

In a new interview with Newsweek, Hardwicke recounts when the actors met for the very first time at her home in Malibu, observing that Stewart “felt connected to [Pattinson] from the first moment. That electricity, or love at first sight, or whatever it is.”

After they kissed for the first time during the audition, Stewart, who had already won the role of Bella, urged the director, “It’s got to be Rob!”

Hardwicke was in full agreement – but made Pattinson agree to one condition first.

“You’ve got to realize that Kristen is 17 years old,” she told Pattinson, who was then 20. “She’s underage. You’ve got to focus, dude, or you’re going to be arrested. I made him swear on a stack of Bibles.”

The co-stars are currently filming Breaking Dawn in Vancouver.

Robert Pattinson Covers 'Vanity Fair' April 2011

Robert Pattinson pays homage to Crocodile Dundee on the April 2011 cover of Vanity Fair magazine.
The 24-year-old actor dished to the mag about his rumored romance with Kristen Stewart, his favorite ever leading lady, and Twilight’s appeal.
On Kristen: “Kristen is very focused on being an actress. I mean, that’s what she is—she’s an actress. Whereas I—I just don’t really know. She’s cool. Even before I knew her I thought she was a really good actress. Like, I saw Into the Wild, and I thought she was really good in that. I still think there are very few girls in her class that are as good as she is.”
On Tai, his favorite leading lady: “She was the best actor I ever worked with in my life. I cried when the elephant was wrapped. I never cried when anyone else was wrapped.”
On Twilight’s appeal to legions of fans: “I can’t really understand it even now. It does have an angle which is attached to something quite primal in girls. I guess people want it to define them, like ‘I’m a Twilight fan.’… I think people really just like being part of a crowd. There’s something just remendously exciting about hyping yourself up to that level.”

Kristen Stewart’s transformation into a vampire in The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn won’t suck. Just ask Robert Pattinson!
“It’s like she wanted to do it the entire time. It’s really funny, it’s like a completely different environment onset when she’s a vampire and when she’s not. I think she’s going to do it really well,” the 23-year-old actor told MTV News.
As for the honeymoon sneak peek photo of Bella and Edward in bed together, Rob joked, “I love how they release that for the first one.”
