David Arquette OK After Car Crash

David Arquette was in a head-on car accident in West Hollywood this afternoon.

The actor’s silver Cadillac reportedly swerved into oncoming traffic after the car immediately in front of him came to an abrupt stop.

A car coming in the opposite direction collided with Arquette’s vehicle.

Arquette lay on the ground until being taken by ambulance to a local hospital.

A rep tells MC he’s “ok.”

MC has learned that Arquette was on his way to the airport to head to Las Vegas for the opening of a restaurant called Sugar Factory.

MC will update when we have more information about Arquette’s status.

David Arquette to Oprah: “I Stole Pot From My Father When I Was Eight”

In his first post-rehab interview,David Arquette talks to Oprah about his struggle with alcohol and an intervention that included his estranged wife Courteney Cox.

The actor tells the talk show host about waking up from a nap to find Cox and his sister Patricia Arquette waiting at his bed.

“Courteney’s like, ‘Do you mind coming out to the living room for a minute?’ recalls Arquette to Oprah. When he got dressed, he saw his best friend, business partner and others waiting for him.

“I go ‘What up, turkeys? I guess this is my intervention!’”

The star discusses an early start with booze, saying that he had his first beer when he was just four years old.

“I was down in the basement with my dad and the beer was there and I just grabbed it and drank it. I remember that. It’s one of my earliest memories,” Arquette tells Oprah.

“I seriously started drinking probably when I was about 12,” remembers Arquette. “I stole pot from my father when I was eight years old.”

On Wednesday, Michael Vick suddenly canceled his sit-down appearance onOprah, but the talk show queen has since filled his spot with an equally riveting interview.

David Arquette will appear on “Oprah” next Thursday in his first interview since leaving rehab.

The interview was actually taped yesterday, a rep for the show confirms to MC.

Arquette, who separated from Courteney Cox in October after 11 years of marriage, checked into rehab over New Year’s weekend to seek treatment for alcohol and depression.

David Arquette has checked out of rehab a month after entering a facility for help with ”alcohol and other issues.”

A rep for the actor confirmed to MC, ”He has completed his treatment.” Adds a source, “He’s doing great and looking ahead.”

Before entering rehab, Arquette spent New Year’s Eve at the Roosevelt Hotel in L.A., partying at Beacher’s Madhouse, in which he’s a partner.

Arquette and Courteney Cox separated in Octoberafter 11 years of marriage.

The separation, said a source at the time, had “taken its toll” on Arquette.

The actor admitted to Howard Stern that he’d been drinking heavily in the aftermath of his split with Cox.
